Job Summary

The Manager of IT Supply Chain is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of technology that supports end‑to‑end supply chain operations. The role provides leadership to the IT team, ensures that systems and processes align with business needs, and drives the design, integration, and continuous improvement of supply chain technologies. This includes close partnership with functional leaders, oversight of project delivery, adherence to governance and security standards, and effective management of data, analytics, and system performance. The position ensures that technology solutions enhance accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment activities. It also supports long‑term architectural planning, vendor coordination, financial oversight, and risk management to maintain stable and scalable supply chain operations.

- Develop and execute technology strategies that support supply chain goals, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen visibility and collaboration across the organization.

- Provide leadership and direction to IT team members by fostering a high‑performance culture, supporting professional growth, and ensuring alignment with business priorities.

- Guide the integration and optimization of supply chain technologies, ensuring systems work cohesively to improve accuracy, streamline workflows, and enhance overall business performance.

- Partner closely with leaders in supply chain, logistics, procurement, and other business functions to understand operational needs, define requirements, and ensure technology solutions deliver measurable value.

- Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of solutions that support critical supply chain functions such as inventory management, demand planning, order fulfillment, procurement, and logistics execution.

- Direct relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including solution evaluation, contract management, performance oversight, and alignment with organizational standards.

- Oversee the planning and execution of technology projects that drive supply chain transformation, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business outcomes.

- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, audit controls, and regulatory requirements that apply to supply chain systems and data.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and champion continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce cost, and elevate service levels.

- Manage data quality, data governance, and analytics platforms that enable accurate forecasting, real‑time visibility, and data‑driven decision making.

- Lead change management efforts for system rollouts and enhancements, including communication planning, training strategies, and adoption support.

- Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation for supply chain technology programs while ensuring cost effectiveness and strong return on investment.

- Anticipate and mitigate risks by monitoring system performance, addressing issues proactively, and establishing controls that protect supply chain continuity.

- Work with enterprise architecture to ensure all supply chain platforms conform to organizational technology standards, integration models, and long‑term architectural roadmaps.

- Maintain accountability for optimizing supply chain performance through effective use of technology and for ensuring strong performance and engagement among IT team members.

- Support technology innovation by evaluating emerging tools such as automation, IoT, analytics platforms, and AI‑based solutions that enhance supply chain capabilities.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on supply chain technology.

- Experience creating training materials and developing team capabilities for new systems and tools.

- Proven experience in implementing IT solutions for supply chain optimization.

- Demonstrated success in leading and managing cross‑functional teams.

- Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain management software, and emerging technologies.

- Strong understanding of business processes related to supply chain management.

- Supply Chain Technology: In‑depth knowledge of IT systems and technologies relevant to supply chain management, including ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).

- Ability to interpret operational data, identify trends, and guide technology decisions that support predictive and prescriptive analytics.

- Skilled in evaluating, negotiating, and managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

- Strong capability to assess current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend technology‑driven improvements.

- Understanding of scalable system design principles that support complex and evolving supply chain operations.

- Ability to break down complex technical problems and develop structured, data‑informed solutions.

- Knowledge of testing frameworks, validation procedures, and release management for supply chain applications.

- Ability to align technology roadmaps with long‑term business goals and operational strategies.

- Competency in diagnosing system issues, coordinating resolutions, and preventing recurrence through root cause analysis.

- Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for non‑technical audiences.
