**Discovery Kids Out-of-School Care** is opening a **brand-new, purpose-built OSC facility** in **Trinity Hills**(SW Calgary, near Canada Olympic Park), and we are seeking a **Founding Director** to lead this exciting new program.

**Program Opening Timeline**

Discovery Kids OSC is anticipated to open between **early March and early April**, pending construction progress and final licensing approvals.

**Compensation**
- **$32-$38/hour** during probation (3 months)
- Transition to **$70,000-$80,000 salary** after successful probation
- Benefits package/health spending account after successful probation

**What you’ll be responsible for**

As Director, you will:

- Lead and support the OSC staff team
- Manage daily operations, scheduling, and ratios
- Ensure compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing
- Support families and handle communication professionally
- Build a positive, accountable workplace culture
- Oversee program quality, safety, and child experience
- Assist with enrolment, onboarding, and retention
- Work closely with ownership to grow the program

At the end of the probationary period you will be trusted to **run the building**.

**Who we are looking for**

This role is ideal for someone who:

- Has experience in out-of-school care, childcare, or nonprofit youth programs
- Has supervised staff and handled scheduling, parents, and compliance
- Is confident with Alberta licensing expectations
- Is organized, professional, and calm under pressure
- Wants to grow with a program, not just clock in and out

**ECE Level 3 certification and OSC/childcare facility experience are musts**

Licence/Certification:

- Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
