**Out of School Care Program Staff**
**Job Overview**:
Montessori Casa is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Out of School Care Staff to join our team. This position is ideal for university students who are passionate about working with children and looking for a flexible job that complements their academic schedule. As an Out of School Care Staff member, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging with children in a safe and nurturing environment, facilitating a variety of activities, and supporting the Montessori principles in all aspects of the program.
**Duties**:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children in the program.
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that align with Montessori principles, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, and quiet time.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and respected.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized space, ensuring that materials and equipment are in good condition.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Uphold the values and philosophy of Montessori education in all interactions with children.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and provide educational support.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with students, staff, and parents.
- Passion for educating and empowering young minds.
- Completion of or current enrollment in a Level 1 Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification program, or equivalent child care certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening (or willingness to obtain).
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
