**Job Overview**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Internal Equipment Maintenance**:

- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all internal equipment, including coffee roasters, packaging machines, grinders, espresso machines, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other production equipment.
- Respond to service issues quickly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Keep accurate service records for all internal assets, including service intervals, repair history, and upcoming maintenance needs.

**Vehicle Maintenance**:

- Schedule and track all required maintenance for company vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, seasonal tire changes, inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with approved automotive service providers.
- Maintain a log of vehicle maintenance history and upcoming service needs.

**Wholesale Equipment Service (Coffee Equipment Only)**:

- Provide expert service and support to wholesale customers for espresso machines, coffee brewers, and grinders.
- Create service plans and respond to emergency service requests.
- Maintain relationships with equipment vendors and stay up to date on supported machine technologies.
- Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction in all service interactions.

**Inventory and Parts Management**:

- Maintain an organized and accurate inventory of parts for supported coffee machine brands and for roasters and packaging equipment.
- Track usage rates and ensure timely reordering of critical parts.
- Identify and source cost-effective and reliable suppliers for equipment components.

**Team Leadership and Department Growth**:

- Develop the equipment service department into a revenue-generating function.
- Hire, train, and lead junior equipment technicians once department scale supports team expansion.
- Create SOPs for maintenance, service calls, customer communication, and safety procedures.
- Monitor KPIs such as response time, equipment uptime, first-time fix rate, and customer satisfaction.

**Administration and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed logs of all service activity (internal and external).
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on equipment performance, department productivity, and service revenue.
- Contribute to budget planning, including parts inventory and capital equipment purchases.

**Required Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience leadership role in industrial machinery or comparable mechanical systems.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills for commercial equipment
- Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic systems is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in tracking assets, service records, and parts inventory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) with proper technique or assistance.
- Experience with inventory systems, service scheduling software, and maintenance record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Leadership experience and desire to grow and mentor a service team.

**Preferred**:

- Certification or factory training in mechanical systems is preferred.
- Red Seal, HVAC, or electrical certification is an asset but not required.
- Experience building a technical service department or revenue-generating service business.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
