We’re currently hiring for a _**Regulatory Affairs Coordinator**_.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs, you’ll provide clear and timely regulatory input to the Product Development and Marketing Departments for innovation projects as well as existing product changes and ensuring that local and international requirements are fully met. The role will be tasked with combining knowledge of scientific, legal, and business issues to ensure products manufactured and distributed by Give & Go meet appropriate legislation.

**What You Will Get to Do**:

- Be responsible for label compliance on assigned Give & Go product categories
- Generate technical packaging information for new and existing products in compliance with Canadian, U.S., and other international regulations, including ingredient declarations, allergen statements, nutrition facts, product, and nutrient content claims
- Review label artwork for accuracy and regulatory compliance, providing final approval to the Marketing team
- Assist with coordinating label revisions with Marketing when formulations change
- Complete specification sheets as requested by Private Label customers
- Respond to regulatory questions related to formulations and general labelling information
- Assist with nutritional analyses in the development of new and reformulated products
- Review analytical nutritional data from third party testing laboratories for accuracy and getting any discrepancies resolved
- Assist in assigning new codes for formulas and requesting new and updated codes for all other product components from MDP’s
- Stay informed of new applicable laws and maintain updated knowledge on food labelling regulations through attending courses, webinars, and the use of regulatory agencies’ websites
- Inform the team if any emerging risks that may impact labelling and regulatory requirements

**Recipe for Success**:

- Completion of university degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or other relevant scientific discipline
- Minimum 2 years experience in the Food Manufacturing industry
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Regulatory Affairs role
- Working knowledge of Health Canada and US Federal Food & Drug Administration regulations
- Certificate in Food Labelling, Regulatory Affairs, or Food Law

**A Few Extra Ingredients**:

- Knowledge of ESHA Genesis nutrition software program
- Excellent organizational skills, dependable, able to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively
- Excellent attention to detail, able to prioritize tasks and follow-up
- Proficient in computer literacy e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Able to take direction, dependable, work well with others as well as independently
- Maintain current knowledge of HC, FDA, and other international food labelling regulations and documentation requirements.
