**Shift Timings**:Morning Shift

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance and accuracy of regulatory information for ingredients, formulas, and labels for the Canadian and US markets. Responsibilities include issuing label information documents, supporting regulatory compliance assessments, and providing regulatory guidance to internal partners. This role will also involve creating and updating finished product specifications, coordinating graphics development and product labelling, and ensuring compliance with BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Certifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure accuracy of regulatory information in databases for ingredients, allergens, formulas, and labels.
- Issue label information documents compliant with regulations and ensure regulatory compliance of final product labels.
- Support broader regulatory team on various initiatives as needed.
- Interface effectively with internal partners (Regulatory, Sales, R&D, Quality, Production) providing regulatory guidance.
- Create and update finished product specifications based on departmental requests.
- Coordinate with product developer and marketing for formulation updates.
- Coordinate with external parties (distributors, vendors, legal counsel, authorities) to ensure product compliance.
- Review, create, and maintain regulatory information related to ingredients, formulations, and finished products.
- Ensure formulations are updated, accurate, and approved prior to production.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food regulations, labeling requirements, and technical product information.
- Review, create and maintain regulatory information (product specifications, product
- Labels, nutritional and allergen information...) related to ingredients, ingredient formulations and finished products for the Canadian and US market to assess and assure compliance with the corresponding regulatory agency’s policies, regulations, and standards (CFIA, Health Canada, FDA, USDA). Participate in HACCP and RSPO teams, and supervise the implementation and continuous improvement of HACCP program.
- Provide resources for BRC program implementation, including training and internal audits.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Food Science or Nutritional Science.
- 2+ years of experience in regulatory affairs in the food industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian and American regulatory processes and requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of HACCP, RSPO, and BRCGS is an asset.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
