Description

**Responsibilities**:

- Thorough working knowledge of all operations and equipment in the directional drilling unit
- Train and develop staff to fullest potential, daily coaching and interaction with employees
- Monitor and document individual employee performance
- Maintain daily work records and monitor daily yields
- Maintain a tour ready work area
- Ensure compliance on the job site of applicable processes and procedures
- Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are being followed within the division
- Communicate with clients in a professional and productive manner
- Update all job-related documentation and file accordingly
- Be available to operate directional drilling and locating equipment if required

**Requirements**:

- Minimum one-year experience managing or supervising a work crew
- ARZ driver’s license is the minimum requirement needed
- Experience laying out running lines, reading blueprints, and understanding locates
- Must have and maintain a clean driver’s abstract
- Must possess and exhibit strong safety acumen and demonstrate safe work practices
- Minimum two years directional drilling and locating experience
- Previous experience in telecommunications is an asset
- Mechanical inclination an asset
- Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner

**Essential Physical Functions**
- Hear and distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty.
- Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in all outdoor elements (rain, snow, heat) for extended periods of time.
- Confined Space Entry may be required to accomplish tasks for some clients when applicable.
- Be able to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.
- Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
