**Payroll Manager - **This position is a very time sensitive and integral part of the organization that works very closely in supporting the Human Resource Manager. It demands strong communication skills, initiative, exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to proactively manage multiple tasks at once while meeting tight deadlines.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Processing weekly payroll for two companies, both salaried and hourly employees
- Extracting punch clock and reviewing it against manual timesheets on daily basis
- Ensure hours are categorized and allocated to correct projects and activities
- Administer and submits benefits, RRSP, garnishments etc.
- Create and maintain employee files
- Follow all established on-boarding and off-boarding processes
- Follow appropriate payroll procedures for terminated employees i.e., ROE’s
- Prepare monthly remittances for both companies
- Respond to employee and government agency inquiries regarding payroll
- Prepare orientation packages when needed
- Participate in annual T4’s processes
- Responsible for maintaining adequate office supplies
- Back-up support to the front desk, greeting guests, answering phones, updating call-log, distributing mail etc.
- Supporting accounting team with monthly credit card reconciliations.
- Other tasks as required

- 100% in Office Environment
- Fast-paced office environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines
**Qualifications**:
- College Diploma
- Solid understanding of a full payroll cycle
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

**Experience**:
- Payroll: 3 years (required)
