**The Role**:
As the Assistant General Manager at Firerock Lounge, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and contributing to the overall success of the venue. You will work closely with the team to maintain a positive work environment, foster employee development, and ensure that every guest experience is nothing short of exceptional. Your focus will be on maintaining operational excellence, driving efficiency, and assisting in strategic decision-making to uphold the venue’s reputation as a premier destination in Whistler.

This is a blended role with two management shifts per week, offering a higher hourly rate for leadership responsibilities. For the rest of the week, you’ll work floor shifts as a server or bartender, meaning you’re eligible for **tip-outs on all shifts.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Full sales & product knowledge
- Schedule and managing a team; including recruitment, training and development, coaching and discipline management
- Daily inventory to ensure the business is set up for success for the following shift
- Liquor license compliance
- Champion internal feedback and hook up programs
- Marketing and event execution
- Uphold Gibbons Core Values
- Other duties as reasonably directed

**Requirements**:

- Experience in hospitality is essential.
- Guest experience focused involving growing and supporting community connections
- Administration and computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft products, POS, employee timekeeping programs.
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong communication skills and ability to react calmly to challenging and stressful situations
- Serving It Right certification
- First Aid (or willing to acquire)
