**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Timely preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements and reporting packages. Ensuring that the financial statements are accurate and in accordance with statutory requirements;
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition;
- Supervise and review the preparation of the general ledger and including review of journal entries and bank reconciliations to ensure that financial reports and statements are accurate;
- Review and participate in submission of all statutory income tax filings including HST returns;
- Prepare financial analysis to assist management in various business engagements;
- Assist in the management of day to day banking and preparation of daily cash flow;
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances;
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
- Review and assist in payroll and T4 functions as required;
- Provide assistance and respond to queries from senior management; and
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- University Degree, Major in Accounting, College Diploma, Major in Accounting or equivalent work experience (minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting role)
- Advance computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong time-management skills demonstrated through successfully undertaking multiple priorities at one time
- Well-developed knowledge of accounting principles and best practices, specifically in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, month and year end processing
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teammates
- Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative work culture through professional communication with all departments and teammates
- Self-starter and strong attention to detail
- Ability to define and solve problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw conclusions

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
