The Opportunity: We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead financial operations across multiple entities while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting. You’ll ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and consistency, provide leadership to the accounting team, and support operational and strategic decision‑making. This role is key to financial oversight, project management, cash flow visibility, and period‑end reporting. What You’ll Be Doing: Provide financial oversight across multiple entities while staying hands‑on with daily accounting Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team, reviewing work for accuracy and compliance Perform and oversee full‑cycle accounting: journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, and month‑end close Review bank reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and general ledger to sub‑ledger reconciliations Prepare and review financial statements and internal reports Oversee project financial tracking, including revenue, cost, margin analysis, and budget‑to‑actual reconciliation Support project managers with financial insights and performance reporting Manage billing, accounts receivable, and weekly cash flow reporting Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial and billing issues Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes and coordinate with external auditors Ensure timely filing of HST, WSIB, and other statutory remittances Analyze financial trends to support forecasting, budgeting, and long‑term planning Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations Act as a financial partner to internal stakeholders and respond to vendor, customer, and partner inquiries Support additional financial initiatives and projects as required What You’ll Need To Be Successful: Proven experience overseeing full‑cycle accounting while staying hands‑on with daily operations Strong knowledge of financial reporting, project accounting, billing, and accounts receivable Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff and reviewing work for accuracy and compliance Ability to lead month‑end and year‑end close processes and coordinate with auditors Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends, variances, and project performance Solid understanding of statutory remittances and financial compliance requirements Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and focused on accuracy Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments Compensation Range: $100,000 - 120,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
