Job Reports To: Director, Donor Engagement
**Key Activities**:
- The National Arts Centre Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Specialist, Annual & Digital Giving. This role will be responsible for integrated fundraising efforts and managing donor engagement through annual and digital campaigns.
The Specialist will also oversee the Donor Circle Membership Program, which offers exclusive opportunities for its members and provides essential support to the Foundation in a changing philanthropic landscape, this position offers a unique chance to contribute to shaping the future of giving at the NAC and to advance our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Campaign Execution
- Brief and oversee vendors in connection to the annual fund portfolio, ensuring deadlines, campaign goals, and established KPIs are achieved. Lead the growth of monthly giving programs, including developing and implementing acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies. Plan and execute special fundraising campaigns, such as Giving Tuesday
- Collaborate on multi-channel donor communications, from appeals to stewardship touchpoints such as newsletters and impact reports.
2. Donor Circle Membership Program
- Administer the Donor Circle Membership Program, ensuring accurate member records, timely communications, and effective delivery of membership benefits.
- Cultivate and engage Donor Circle members, enhancing their connection to the NAC through personalized touchpoints, special events, and behind-the-scenes access to performances and rehearsals.
- Manage member renewals and upgrades, including a personal portfolio of donors giving $1,000 to $10,000 annually.
- Develop and implement cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to enhance long-term giving among Donor Circle members
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to foster long-term relationships and ensure the integration of the Donor Circle into broader fundraising efforts.
- Provide concierge-style support to donors in both official languages.
3. Planning, Budgeting and Reporting
- Contribute to the Foundation’s strategy, budget, and operational planning
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for annual and digital campaigns, ensuring objectives are met and making recommendations for improvements.
- Utilize data mining, segmentation, and testing strategies to optimize solicitation efforts and donor acquisition initiatives.
- Collaborate across Foundation teams to ensure the integrity and accuracy of donor data and work with CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge, Engaging Networks) for targeted campaigns.
- Prepare and update budgets, manage invoices, and support reporting and projections.
4. Collaboration and Innovation
- Work closely with the Director of Donor Engagement to identify new opportunities for digital fundraising.
- Stay current on trends and best practices in digital giving, proactively identifying opportunities to integrate these practices into the work
- Collaborate with the Audience Engagement team to integrate giving opportunities into NAC events, performances, and online content.
- Participate in developing and launching new initiatives that engage diverse and next generation donors.
**Skill Requirements**:
- 3-5 years of experience in annual giving, digital fundraising, or direct response campaigns in a nonprofit setting; experience in the arts and cultural sector is an asset.
