As an Outside Sales Representative, you’ll work to develop strong partnerships with new customers while offering unmatched value in our products and services.

**As an Outside Sales Representative, a typical day might include the following**:

- Build and maintain knowledge of SEL products and services solutions.
- Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers. Determine, communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.
- Develop, maintain and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.
- Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.
- Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer concerns and product issues.
- Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.
- Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.

**This job might be for you if possess the following**:

- 2 or more years of experience selling equipment, testing equipment, designing systems, managing projects, or selling services related to medium voltage electric power systems.
- Completion of electrical trades program, electrical engineering degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated success working in a customer facing role
- Ability to travel 75% of the time
- Effective and engaging communication skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Fluent in local language and business practices in British Columbia and Yukon Territory

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience using SEL products
- Experience working in mining, water, petrochemical, manufacturing, data center, or electrical utility industry.
- Knowledge and experience with high voltage electric power systems
- Experience selling technical products and services.
- Familiar with Consultive Sales Techniques
- Familiarity with CRM tools
