**Role Responsibilities**:

- Assist in scheduling, preparing and implementing recreation programs which support Intercare’s philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of the customers, as directed.
- Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance.
- Documents care, programs and interactions as required on the resident’s health care record.
- Participate in outings and other special events.
- Demonstrate respect to all customers, by working with them in a calm, courteous manner.

**Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements**:

- **A Recreation Therapy Aide Diploma is preferred; a Recreation Therapy Aide certificate and/or a minimum of two years as recreation therapy assistant or related field experience in a continuing care setting will be considered.**:

- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined.

**Location**: Brentwood Care Center

**Position Type**: Temporary Full-time (0.1 FTE)

**Hours of Work**: 8:00am to 4:00 pm **(flexibility required)**

**Salary**: $18.80-$24.32 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- recreational therapy: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Therapeutic Recreation certificate, degree or diploma (required)
