**Job Description**:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brokerage Coordinator to join our metal recycling company. As a Brokerage Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our brokerage transactions. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and manage the documentation and processes associated with brokerage activities. If you have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's success.

**What you’re responsible for**:

- Coordinating the processing of high volumes of documentation within specified timelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Reviewing and analyze open shipping documents to verify the completeness and correctness of information
- Inputting and maintain large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy in our internal systems
- Conducting weekly and monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of brokerage transactions
- Maintaining complete and up-to-date records in our documentation and filing systems
- Investigating, verifying, and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to sales/purchase orders, shipping documents, PODs (Proof of Delivery), BOLs (Bill of Lading), and carrier confirmations
- Distributing scale and shipping documents accurately and efficiently to the appropriate internal parties
- Communicating with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide timely updates on brokerage activities
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and seamless execution of brokerage transactions
- Assisting in other ad hoc duties and projects as required

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience (1+ years) in a similar role, preferably within the metal recycling or related industry, with exposure to brokerage activities
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks
- Proficient in data entry and managing high volumes of information with precision
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of effectively prioritizing and multitasking to meet deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Customer service-oriented mindset, with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and interact professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
