Reporting to the Leadership Team, the Administrative Specialist is responsible for performing a wide range of client and insured support activities to ensure timely enrollment, cancellation, and other administrative functions. You will be expected to be an active team member by supporting work efforts, providing feedback while ensuring customer service excellence.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process and record new insurance policies while maintaining high accuracy in Excel
- Fulfill ID card requirements in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of all correspondence with policy holders and clients
- Generate reports, compare, analyze and evaluate data in Excel
- Responsible for maintaining process and procedure knowledge, based on client requirements
- Maintain policy knowledge in order to answer general questions
- Operate a range of office equipment such as printers, stamp machine and folding machines
- General clerical duties including preparing shipping labels, filing, preparing envelopes for shipping
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Liaise with other departments as needed
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Business or Office Administration, or combined experience and skills
- Minimum of 2 years of insurance or office administration experience
- Excellent written communication skills in English with the ability to compose professional correspondence
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Teams & Word
- Commitment to superior customer service attitude with an ability to demonstrate this while taking calls including ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor
- Professional and comfortable adapting to new situations with the ability to perform well, and problem solve in dynamic situations
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
- Ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality of clients’ information
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new computer systems and work with industry related software programs
- Have a team player attitude, by demonstrating an effort to accomplish tasks and support colleagues
- Ability to communicate in a second language is an asset (Spanish, Mandarin, French)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
