Job Overview
The role of Chef de Partie at Peake is an exciting and fulfilling role for the right person. The Chef de Partie is responsible for the preparation of high-quality meals in accordance with Peake standards of excellence. They lead a line of kitchen cooks and helpers in the day-to-day preparation and fulfillment of orders for events and deliveries. The Chef de Partie should know, respect, and promote the Peake Core Values.

Major Responsibilities
- Executes and supervises food production activities for their division
- Participates in the development of food products and menus as needed
- Supports training of kitchen cooks and helpers in their division
- Maintains and monitors the quality of food produced
- Conducts inventory and orders needed products for their division
- Is aware of the content of catering manuals and suggests changes as needed
*Tasks outside of those outlined in the job description may be required during times of increased demand*
Ongoing Expectations and Physical/Mental Demands
- This role will require lifting of supplies, equipment, and product
- This position requires long periods of standing and moving
- Frequent interruptions from other team members while multitasking daily duties
- Immediate environment will frequently be noisy and busy
- Ongoing exposure to normal kitchen hazards (ovens, sharp objects, slippery surfaces)
- Frequent tight deadlines
Education, skills and qualifications
- Previous experience in similar catering or hotel kitchens with stable work history
- Formal culinary training
- FoodSafe certification
- First Aid certification (preferred)
- Red Seal certification (big plus)
- Strong knowledge of hygiene procedures (HACCP)
- Professional demeanor and appearance
Looking for Monday - Friday availability
Additional opportunities within the company to work event shifts if extra hours are desired.
