**Human Resources Manager**

Macgregors Meat & Seafood Ltd., located in the Steeles and Weston Road area of North York, requires an on-site Human Resources Manager. This position reports to the President/General Manager and Senior Human Resources Manager.
- **The position is responsible for**:_
- Develop and implement Macgregors HR Strategies that align with overall culture
- Ensure policies/documentation/communication reflect current legislation and support our current and future needs
- Manage recruitment and selection process to support current and future needs
- Manage Health & Safety approach with committees/teams. Liaise with WSIB, MOL, etc as needed/required. Lead investigations.
- Payroll experience for back-up purposes
- Oversee Generalist Human Resources responsibilities
- Counsels Supervisors on education and enforcement of Company policy, discipline, HR best practices, attend employee discipline and termination
- Partners with operations and training functions to identify training needs and provide input on training approaches and content
- Support the Coordinating of company and staff events
- 5+ years of practical hands-on experience
- A strong service mentality and commitment to Macgregors Core Values
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Occupational Health & Safety and WSIB
- Experience in agency, recruiting and on-boarding processes
- Excellent communication, presentation and financial management skills
- Ability to perform independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Daily personal transportation required due to multiple locations.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
