About the Opportunity:
Currently, VictorEric is looking for a full-time General Labor/Site Assistant based in Vancouver, BC, focusing on custom-builds for single-family residential projects.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will assist with all on-site activities and collaborate with tradespeople/subcontractors during the entire construction lifecycle from demolition to final occupancy.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Assist daily opening and locking up of construction sites
- Perform general on-site tasks as directed by the Site Supervisor/Construction Manager
- Perform manual and/or skilled labor as directed by Site Supervisor/Construction Manager
- Assist the Site Supervisor in overseeing trades on site
- Identify required next steps and tasks while on site
- Take daily phone calls and report on site conditions in project management software
- Providing daily updates on site progress and upcoming tasks as required
- Attend site visits and site meetings with project management team, designers, and trades as required
- Observe and maintain construction quality control, and resolve construction issues that may arise or escalate them to the Site Supervisor/Construction Manager if necessary
- Liaise with clients when they are on site
- Meet with consultants and inspectors on site
- Assist in daily coordination of tasks between Project Coordinator and tradespeople/sub-contractors
- Schedule and receive on site deliveries, pick up supplies when necessary and turn in delivery slips into office
- Ensure construction sites are kept clean and organized

About You:
To qualify for this role, you will need at least 2 years of experience working in the construction industry, preferably with exposure in design/build residential projects.

Moreover, the following will be crucial to effectively perform in this role:

- Strong sense of autonomy balanced with excellent teamwork
- Proficient problem-solving abilities
- Secondary education or additional trade/vocational education (an asset, but not required)
- Valid BC Driver’s License with clean record

Lastly, you will be joining us with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with our internal design and project management teams, trades, and vendors.
