Companion Construction is a growing commercial construction management, general contracting, and project management firm. We specialize in commercial new construction, mass timber buildings, and tenant improvements. We also work in the health care sector doing renovations.

As a Construction Laborer/First Aid Attendant you will be responsible for completing a variety of construction labor and safety tasks. You will maintain a clean and safe worksite by being proactive and independent.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Housekeeping: Clean the site by removing debris, sorting materials and organizing supplies and equipment
- Load and unload materials to and from delivery trucks and equipment
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Minor clean demolition activities
- Maintain site fencing and keep site perimeters clean and safe
- Set up and maintain heaters, fans, and general ventilation on site
- Assist site team with other labor and carpentry duties as assigned
- Administer first aid to site personnel
- Support the process of safety programs and safety management plans
- Maintain all WHIMIS (MSDS) records
- Maintain all first aid & safety facilities including dressing station/first aid room, field kits, emergency stations (Horns, Eyewash), fire control facilities (extinguishers) & site safety signage
- Maintain all daily personnel check-in records including COVID checklists
- Direct public safety measures (fencing, signage, barriers, traffic/pedestrian control)
- Maintain schedule and notes for all site safety meetings
- Maintain daily records of work activities for all staff and subcontractors
- Maintain a comprehensive daily photo record of work activities; liaise with the site superintendent and project manager to ensure a complete and accurate record is maintained
- Retain records for material deliveries

**Core Requirements**
- Minimum 2 years experience in related position
- Valid Level 2 Occupational First Aid Certificate
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
- Able to communicate effectively
- Physically capable of meeting the job demands, including working on your feet for 8 hours or more, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs, and carrying out physical tasks over extended periods

**Assets**
- Drivers License and access to a vehicle
- Experience with Procore
- Valid Drivers Licence and reliable transportation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
