We are looking for an **HR Coordinator** to join our dynamic team

As the first point of contact for employees, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional employee experience at Destination Canada. Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, you will be instrumental in managing our HR budget and will provide support across a wide range of HR functions Your keen analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail will be put to use as you support the management of our pension, benefits, and compensation programs. Curious, technically-savvy, and a quick learner, you will become an expert at working with our HR systems.

**DUTIES**:

- Delivers exceptional customer service to employees and provides consistent information regarding HR services, policies, and the collective agreement.
- Provides coordination and support to multiple HR programs including pay & benefits, onboarding, health & safety, leave management, training & development, compensation, performance appraisal, awards & recognition, and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI).
- Updates and maintains HRIS and time management system (UKG).
- Enrolls, terminates, and updates employee information with benefits and pension plan providers. Prepares bi-weekly payroll reports and pay prep files.
- Develops and delivers training on time off & leave, flexible work policies, pension & benefits, and HRIS self-service.
- Tracks expenditures under the HR budget and prepares budget, variance, and forecast reports. Processes and manages invoices and expenses for the HR team. Maintains finance and procurement/contracting records.
- Prepares and maintains employee files and records. Provides administrative support including organizing meetings, preparing and coordinating translation of documents, etc.
- Updates HR content on the intranet as the intranet super-user for the HR team.

**Essential Qualifications**

**EDUCATION**: Degree or certificate from a recognized institute in administrative support or HR certificate or diploma, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. CPHR or actively working towards CPHR would be considered an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in providing administrative, financial or project coordination/management
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources
- Experience in planning and coordinating events, e.g. meetings, staff engagement activities
- Experience in preparing and editing presentations and reports
- Experience with pay and benefits administration is an asset
- Experience with different stages of full cycle recruitment is an asset
- Experience in monitoring and tracking a budget such as conducting variances, processing invoices and contracts is an asset

**KNOWLEDGE**:

- General knowledge of Human Resources programs and practices
- Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures
- Knowledge of financial practices and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of HRIS is an asset
- Knowledge of relevant Canadian legislation is an asset

- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite at an advanced level (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
