Research and Marketing Assistant

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented **Research and Marketing Assistant** to join our research team. This role will focus on a combination of marketing, content creation, and knowledge translation activities to help us effectively share research findings and engage with various stakeholders, particularly in the health sector. You will assist in producing engaging content across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, and presentations. **Key Responsibilities**:
- **1) Marketing and Research Content Creation**
**Social Media Management**:
Develop and manage engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube to raise awareness about ongoing projects and research outcomes.
**Website Development and Updates**:
Assist in updating and maintaining the organization’s website, ensuring that content is relevant, up-to-date, and accessible.
Work closely with the team to enhance the website’s user experience and design.
**Graphic Design**:
Create visually appealing graphics for use across various marketing materials, including banners, logos, and posters.
Design promotional materials for events, presentations, and campaigns.
**Content Creation for Outreach**:
Write and design content such as social media posts, blog posts, and educational materials to engage and inform target audiences.
Support the creation of multimedia content, including videos and infographics, to visually communicate key messages.
**Research Presentation Support**:
Assist with the formatting of slide decks and presentations for conferences, webinars, and stakeholder meetings.
Help create visually engaging presentations that align with the organization's branding and communication goals.
**Brand Management and Development**:
Develop and implement strategic brand initiatives to strengthen program identity and increase visibility across key audiences.
Support the design and production of team merchandise and other branding materials.
- **2) Knowledge Translation and Research Communication**
**Research Summaries and Outreach**:
Review research findings and summarize them in clear, concise posts and other written materials for a wide range of audiences, including health professionals, patients, and the general public.
Ensure that all translated content is accurate, accessible, and reflects current research guidelines.
**Knowledge Translation Materials**:
Design and produce knowledge translation materials such as posters, infographics, year-in-review brochures, and easy-to-read documents to communicate research findings and achievements in a user-friendly way.
**Video Content for Education and Recruitment**:
Create recruitment videos to engage potential learners (e.g., research and clinical fellows) in our fellowship program.
**Stakeholder Engagement**:
Work closely with researchers, clinicians, and other health professionals to ensure that research findings are accurately communicated to the appropriate audiences.
Participate in the development of strategies to effectively disseminate research to policy-makers, health organizations, industry partners, and the public.
**Research Support for Communication Initiatives**:
Support the organization’s research communication efforts by ensuring that all outreach activities are informed by the latest evidence.
Assist with research synthesis to help refine and develop communication strategies.
**Position Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public health, or a related field.
- Proficiency with digital tools and platforms (e.g., social media, website management)
- Graphic design skills or willingness to learn (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear, concise, and audience-appropriate messaging
- Familiarity with knowledge translation principles and experience communicating complex information in accessible formats
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- A background or interest in health-related research, communication, or marketing is an asset
**How to Apply**:
Pay: $22.79-$30.32 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
