**About the Organization**
- The Strengthening Transitions in Care Lab is based at IWK Health. The overall mission of the research lab is to develop and evaluate interventions to improve transitions in care for patients and families. Using a collaborative, patient-centred approach to understand how children and families navigate transitions in care, our research aims to improve outcomes and lead to sustainable health system changes.

This research project investigates how inter
- and intra-provincial healthcare policies in the Canadian Maritime provinces impact children with medical complexity (CMC) and their families.

**Job Summary**
- Reporting to the Research Coordinator and study leadership team, the Research Assistant (RA) will support the research team by assisting with administrative tasks, data collection, and analysis. The RA will also help coordinate research activities, including regulatory submissions, environmental scanning, and team communication.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the development and submission of data access requests for health administrative data.
- Assist in conducting an environmental scan of provincial healthcare policies related to children with medical complexity (CMC) and support data entry, verification, and organization for research analysis and maintenance of research databases.
- Assist in preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and distributing key updates and maintaining communication with research team members, patient partners, and collaborators.
- Assist in preparing research summaries, presentations, manuscripts and reports for stakeholders.

**Note**
- The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Health Policy, Sociology, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team.

**Assets**
- Previous research experience, particularly in health services research, policy analysis, or administrative health data.
