**Job Overview**:
**_ This is a temporary summer role starting from May 2025 to September 2025. _**Reporting directly to the Executive Chef & Kitchen Manager, the Banquet Cook plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction by preparing high-quality food for banquet events, setting up and breaking down food stations, and supporting the kitchen team in executing large-scale meal service.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook food according to banquet event orders, recipes, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient preparation for events.
- Set up, maintain, and break down banquet stations as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations before, during, and after service.
- Assist in opening and closing duties of the kitchen as scheduled.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures, including proper food handling and storage.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or needs to the Executive Chef. Adapt to last-minute changes in event requirements or service flow.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a banquet, catering, or high-volume kitchen environment.
- Valid Food Handler Certification required.
- Strong understanding of banquet service logistics, large-batch cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
