Inline Sales and Service is hiring a **service technician** to start as soon as possible. Inline specializes in commercial mechanical systems, repairs and installations.
As a service technician you will be responsible for installing, repairing and performing maintenance on mechanical systems. This is a unique role. You will work on anything from hot water tanks to rebuilding pumps and installing boiler systems. Some days you may be required to do in-shop repairs on motors, pumps or other mechanical equipment. If you love a challenge and like doing something different every day this position is for you.
**Qualifications for role**:
- Extensive boiler experience - servicing, testing, trouble shooting and repairing
- Experienced with electric motors and pumps (if lacking, must be willing to learn)
- Have an extensive knowledge of current techniques and procedures needed to conduct day-to-day tasks in the plumbing and HVAC industry
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair hydronic systems
- Experience with performing inspections and services to boilers, air handling units, cooling equipment, pump stations and rooftop units is an asset.
- Organized, self motivated and able to work independently or with a team
- Good physical condition — Heavy lifting is involved
- 3-5 years of experience is preferred, but not mandatory
- Valid class 5 drivers license required
- Plumber or Gas fitter (A or B) is an asset
- Mechanically inclined
**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time, Monday-Friday (occasional weekend work and overtime available)
- Permanent position
- Majority of work is indoor
- Shop based in Surrey, BC - Job sites are across the Lower Mainland
- Hourly wage - $38 - $55 (depending on experience)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $38.00-$55.00 per hour
