**Job Details**

**Position Title**: Professor, Virtual Production
**Status**: Full Time
**Faculty/Department**: Faculty of Media & Creative Arts
**Campus/Location**: Lakeshore campus (primary), other campuses (North) and partner locations within the Greater Toronto Area depending on teaching, applied research and project work.
**Salary**: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees.

**What you will do**:
As a professor, you’ll empower a diverse group of learners to succeed in creatively leveraging technology to practically solve challenges. You

will teach courses in the Interaction Design Cluster within the Faculty of Media & Creative Arts, particularly for the User-Experience Design

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**

Terminal degree preferred in related field (design, media production, computer science, engineering)

**Experience and Skills**

Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical production or applied research roles.

Industry acumen and practical experience is required in several of the following areas:

- 3D modelling
- Accessibility
- Applied research
- Computational arts
- Game production
- Generative AI
- Immersive experiences
- Universal design for learning
- Spatial computing (VR/AR/XR)
- Storytelling
- Virtual production
- Engaging and effective teaching approaches, especially with hybrid delivery modes
- Previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
- Ability to evaluate student progress/achievement and assume responsibility for the overall assessment of the student’s work within assigned courses
- Coaching and student support skills, with experience managing classroom dynamics
- A student focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including students, faculty, support staff, administrators and community stakeholders
- Commitment to a team approach for problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Initiatives that foster Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB)
