**Accounting Generalist (Cash Operations)**

**Summary**

The position of Accounting Generalist is responsible for processing and reconciliation of cash deposits and maintaining the hotel float according to company policies, as well as, processing foreign currency.

**Specific duties and responsibilities (but not limited to)**:

- Count and reconcile daily cash drops, prepare due backs, prepare bank deposits and post corresponding journal entries.
- Control and maintain hotel float, manage float disbursement when necessary, and complete monthly float counts for employee having floats.
- Process and reconcile petty cash receipts.
- Processing and reconciling Cash Bars
- Other duties as assigned

**Please note this position requires travelling to Hotels in Toronto**

**Qualifications**:

- The position requires solid communication, analytical, interpersonal & time management skills.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in accounting complemented by a recognized certificate or degree in accounting and/or hospitality.
- Hotel Experience as Guest Service Agent, Night Auditor or Accounting Assistant is considered a strong assist
- Some courses towards accreditation by a professional accounting body are also valued. The Accounting Generalist must be detail oriented, and, have the ability to successfully multi-task.
- Expertise with Excel and other Microsoft Office features is essential. Familiarity with Aptech PVNG, Marriott PMS or Lightspeed are desirable.

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year

- Hotel: 1 year (preferred)
