OVERVIEW OF THIS POSITION:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the daily production of fabricated belts (managing a team of 15), coordination of an installation team, capital equipment planning, and project management for major capital projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
- Responsible for the planning, directing, organizing and controlling the fabrication, assembly and installation operations. Includes people management and budgetary/cost reporting.
- Determines methods and procedures to complete work orders efficiently, utilizing available materials and employees.
- Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.
- Coordinates with customer care, and other departments, to ensure capability is aligned with customer expectations
- Implements and manages continuous improvement and modern fabrication principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and procedures.
- Ensures the physical inventory is accurate
- Maintains records showing the fabrication equipment is appropriately maintained, calibrated and safe to operate.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining and retaining an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
- Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Produce written reports and make presentations
- Maintains and supports all Company Goals as it relates to Safety, Quality, Production and Costs.
- Responsible for coordinating and/or preparing performance reviews for all direct reports.
- Any other duties as assigned.
**Project Management Option**
Provides management oversight for all phases of capital projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget.
**Principle Project Management Duties**:
- Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
- Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects.
- Oversees performance of contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
- Is responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
- Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated.
- Reports to management about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated.
- Plans, implements, tracks and closeout / turnover of construction projects.
- Conducts project meetings.
- Manages to and achieves revenue goals set for projects
- Generates and issues regular internal and external project reports
- Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken

- Preferred - Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Equivalent
- Preferred - Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in manufacturing/production
- Preferred - Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role
- Preferred - Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Preferred - High Competency with Process Improvement
- Preferred - High Competency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Applications
- Preferred - Experience in Inventory/Materials Management
- Preferred - Possess Black Belt Training
