Assembly Technician

**JOB SUMMARY**:The Assembly Technician is responsible for all functions associated with the assembly and packaging of custom manifold assemblies.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assemble manifolds and sub-assemblies in accordance to engineering drawings.
- Use torque wrenches and similar tools to install hydraulic valves, fittings, and related components.
- Read and understand engineering schematics, drawings, and technical documents.
- Laser engrave product identification tags and affixing onto product.
**ACADEMIC/EDUCATIONAL REQUIRMENTS**:
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
- Fundamental knowledge of Fluid Power an asset.
**REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE**:
- Hands-on hydraulic or mechanical assembly experience required.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and respond appropriately to constant changes.
- Must be TEAM oriented and possess an autonomous work ethic.
- Detail oriented, problem solving and outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate a pallet hand truck.
- Able to operate overhead crane to move materials.
- Must be able to wear appropriate foot and eye protection.
- Must be able to lift approx. 50 lbs.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office 365 an asset.
- Experience working in an ISO environment is an asset.
Must meet requirements of Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
