Assembly Technician

Our company is looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team and provide technical knowledge in regards to our products. This position requires extensive knowledge of computer hardware, familiarity with electronics and a confident, outgoing personality that will make you comfortable working one-on-one with clients. We're looking for a person that has prior experience with office equipment, but who is also open to learning new skills.
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of a High School Diploma Post Secondary education is an asset.
- Ability to read technical drawings
- 3 years of related work experience
- Above-average mechanical skills, including experience and familiarity with equipment installations and shaft alignments
- Demonstrate ability to obtain a TSSA welder’s permit
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 Quality management standards and principles.
**Key duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assembly of pumps, pump sets, piping, and related equipment using hand tools, machine tools, alignment, and measuring tools.
- Fabrication/welding of pump and equipment bases made to drawings, written and verbal instructions.
- Painting of equipment to customer and John Brooks requirements.
- Installing identification nameplates and stickers on all completed units and completing all documentation.
- Ensuring the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Responsible for appropriate, timely, and consistent self-development.
- Closing work orders in the JDE system when required.
- Assist Service and Warehouse functions during peak workloads and vacations as requested.
