**CareCorp Senior Services are a trusted agency company who provide superior healthcare, food services, housekeeping and laundry service to long-term care facilities.**
**We are looking for a fun, energetic, and caring recreation aide to do activities with our seniors in one of our beautiful long-Term Care Facilities.**

**Compensation**:$20.50 per hour

**Job Duties**:

- Responsible for day-to-day for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of recreation programs that meet a diverse population of residents.
- Ensures that every resident is involved in identified recreational activities in order to meet the goals of the resident's recreational treatment plan. Leads, instructs, and motivates residents in individual and group leisure pursuits.
- Setup and organize equipment needed for specific program(s), and oversee residents involved by encouraging participation.
- Ability to follow safety policy and protocol in the community with residents and volunteers.
- Effective and professional communication skills with all facility departments.
- Record and discuss residents' participation levels in programs.
- Escort, transport, assist residents to and from programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Current Food Safe certification (required).
- Completion of recognized Recreation course (preferred).
- Two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience (preferred).
- Current CPR/ First Aid (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills.

**To** **mitigate the risk COVID-19 transmission among persons in our care, patients, residents and staff, an order under the Public Health Act was enacted to limit movement of staff between long-term care facilities. **While this order is in place, staff are limited to working in only one (1) private long-term care hospital (facility), licensed long-term care facility, registered assisted living facility, stand-alone extended care hospital, or provincial mental health facility.**
