**CLOSING DATE**: SEPTEMBER 19, 2025

**Overview**: The CPNP Coordinator is responsible for promoting the health and wellness of Indigenous mothers and their babies through culturally sensitive prenatal and postnatal services. This role provides holistic care, nutrition education, counselling, and access to traditional teachings. The CPNP Coordinator supports healthy pregnancies and early child development by creating a safe and welcoming space for at-risk Indigenous mothers and their infants.

**Qualification & Requirements**: A 2-year College Diploma in Nutrition, Health Promotion, Social Service Work, Indigenous Studies, or a related field. Previous experience in a similar role is an asset. Knowledge of Indigenous culture and local communities. Experience in a not-for-profit setting is an asset. Must have or be able to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (CPIC). Must hold a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

**Primary Responsibilities**:1.Develop, coordinate, and deliver group-based prenatal and postnatal programming, including nutrition education, peer support groups, and wellness workshops.

2.Provide one-on-one and group counselling to expectant and new mothers, focusing on nutrition, health, and overall well-being.

3.Facilitate access to traditional teachings, Elders, and cultural supports to ensure services reflect Indigenous values and practices.

4.Build and maintain partnerships with local health services, hospitals, and community organizations to support mothers and families.

5. Offer referrals to appropriate resources such as medical care, housing supports, mental health services, and social services.

6. Organize community events and outreach initiatives to raise awareness about maternal health and early child development.

7. Provide crisis intervention and aftercare support as needed.

8. Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and statistics in accordance with program and funding requirements.

**Knowledge & Skills**:Knowledge of traditional foods, teachings, and practices related to pregnancy and child-rearing. Familiarity with trauma-informed and harm-reduction approaches. Critical thinking and solution-focused approach. Strong listening and advocacy skills. Program Development & Facilitation. Case Management abilities, and follow through. Confidentiality, attention to detail, and time management.
