**Qualification & Requirements**: A 2-year College Diploma in Social Service Work, Indigenous Studies, Mental Health & Addictions, or a related field. Previous experience in a similar role is an asset. Knowledge of Indigenous culture and local communities. Experience in a not-for-profit setting is an asset. Must have or be able to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (CPIC). Must hold a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
**Primary Responsibilities**: 1.Develop, coordinate, and deliver group-based programming such as healing circles, support groups, and community wellness workshops. 2.Provide culturally relevant education sessions focused on the prevention and impacts of family violence. 3.Facilitate peer support networks that encourage collective healing and resilience. 4.Offer referrals and connections to appropriate community services, including health care, mental health supports, and social services. 5.Build and maintain strong partnerships with local organizations, including the women’s shelter, to ensure coordinated care and supports for clients. 6. Provide crisis intervention and aftercare support for individuals and families when required. 7. Engage Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and cultural practitioners to strengthen cultural programming. 8. Promote awareness of family violence issues and wellness resources through outreach and community events. 9. Maintain accurate program records, reporting, and statistics as required by funding guidelines.
