Dr. Karen Marcos and team are a patient-driven, caring, and close-knit dental team. We are looking for a Part Time (2 days per week) Registered Dental Assistant to join our office (on average 15 hrs/week).

The successful applicant must be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, caring and compassionate and able to connect with team members, patients and parents. It is also important that this person possesses a positive attitude with professional commitment and is friendly and out-going in a team-oriented environment. **Duties**
- Assisting in dental procedures
- Preparing and taking X-rays of patients.
- Teaching and advising patients on proper oral hygiene.
- Perform basic dental procedures such as cleaning, X-rays and dental impressions.
- Sterilizing equipment and following proper hygienic protocol.
- Assisting the dentist with emergency dental work.
- Helping with administrative tasks in the office such as scheduling and record-keeping.
- Managing the inventory & maintenance of dental equipment and supplies.
- **Requirements**:

- Completion of an approved Dental Assistant program and certification as a Dental Assistant (RDA II).
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant.
- Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Must be computer proficient and able to learn new software easily (software used in our Practice Microsoft Office and Dentrix).
- Knowledge and understanding of good oral hygiene.
- Knowledge of various dental procedures and instruments, including packing cord and making temporary crowns.
- Ability to perform office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies.
- Knowledge of dental technology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with children of all ages.
- Prior experience working with both pediatric and seniors population preferred.

**Ability to work the following shifts**:

- Tuesday 12pm - 7:30 PM
- Wednesday 12pm - 7:30 PM

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Leduc, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Dental Assisting: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Certified Dental Assistant II (required)
