Social Content Specialist

Mejuri is the category-defining fine jewelry brand designing high-quality pieces created to be worn every day. Feeling disconnected from an industry that typically markets to men, co-founder and CEO Noura Sakkijha leveraged her learnings as a third-generation jeweller to rethink the way women purchase jewelry—for themselves. In only seven years, and with a team of over 75% women, Mejuri has shipped over one million orders and opened eight retail stores across the globe, all while introducing new products weekly.

As part of Noura’s original vision to empower women to invest in themselves, the brand launched the Mejuri Empowerment Fund to support underrepresented women and non-binary individuals with the tools to empower themselves. Mejuri continues to reach new customers through exciting community initiatives and expansion into international markets, such as the UK, Australia and Germany.

**Who you'll be working with**:

- Hi, I’m Grace, and I'm the Manager of Social Content here at Mejuri. In my role I’m responsible for leading the engagement and creative strategy for Mejuri’s content across all organic social channels. I’ve been with Mejuri for 2.5 years and all of the growth and creativity I’ve witnessed here in that time is simply amazing. We have an incredible team that is innovative and dedicated, and we’re excited to welcome a new member to support us in reaching our next milestones as a brand. I’m looking for a Social Content Specialist who is content and culture obsessed, has a deep knowledge of social media platforms, and can tackle both creative and strategy - they love creating viral storytelling moments that will not only resonate with Mejuri’s community today but also help us tap into new audiences of tomorrow.

**The Role**:

- Obsessed with the internet and the latest trends, and with a keen eye for imagery and video, the Social Content Specialist will grow Mejuri’s organic presence and engagement to the next level by conceptualizing and executing high quality, on-trend content for our brand. Reporting into the Social Content Manager, you will partner closely with Social Content Lead to bring the Mejuri social strategy to life through channel planning, content creation, and immaculate execution and reporting of social content, including, but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and emerging platforms. You will also manage and collaborate with a roster of external creators to conceive of and produce content. **What you'll do**:

- Work closely with Social Content Manager to support on social strategy and channel planning across campaigns, social initiatives and BAU, constantly reflecting on learnings to optimize engagement.
- Support with creative briefs, and execute content against overall marketing and content calendar, ensuring that all content ladders up to marketing objectives, campaigns and KPIs
- Work with Social Content Lead on content creation, including capture, editing and QA
- Support with casting, outreach, briefing ; owning relations with a roster of external talent
- Maximize engagement and growth, constantly evaluating performance, benchmarking against competitor content and making data-driven recommendations and pivots
- With support of Social Content Manager, execute on new series or initiatives across IG, TikTok and emerging platforms
- Ensure that Mejuri's mission and vision are heavily featured in storytelling, along with styling and product education-all in an entertaining way
- Communicate across teams, collaborating and aligning on content with merchandising, digital product, retail, growth marketing, retention marketing, integrated marketing, international marketing and creative teams
- Keeping a close eye on culture, trends, creator and social media landscape, constantly bringing in fresh and innovative ideas for talent and content
- Visual curation, sourcing, moodboarding and copywriting for social channels and brand

**What you bring to the team**:

- Proven track record of creating and conceiving of strong content and visual / digital storytelling in social media roles.
- Deep knowledge of Instagram (algorithm, in-app features, insights, analytics, metrics)
- Obsession with TikTok with a keen eye for new trends (sounds, editing techniques, in-app features, and how to optimize content for the platform and algorithm)
- Deep awareness and interest in internet zeitgeist, trends and generational marketing
- Fluent internet speak, confident with light copywriting for content cap
