Are you self-driven, motivated, enthusiastic, with a positive can-do attitude and looking to join a fast-growing company in the consumer finance industry as a full-time permanent **Post-Write-Off Recovery Agent?** **Prefera Finance** is in search of an experienced **Post-Write-Off Recovery Agent** **General** **Description**: **Core** **Responsibilities** - Seek and gather relevant information, locate clients using various tools such as Can411, Review/Pull Credit Bureau Reports (TU/EQ), social media platforms, etc for the Collection, Recovery and Paralegal teams - Establish contact with customers, negotiate settlements towards a positive resolution. - Attend and contribute in monthly meetings with the department Director, assessing department needs while outlining progress while identifying areas of opportunity - Expected volume, manage 100 - 125 files while supporting other areas of the business - Perform detailed account audits and cost analysis if/when needed - Inbound/outbound environment (no tele-marketing; no auto-dialer) - Customer service: update Client contact & account information - Respond to client enquiries - Providing superior professional service to valued clients **Skills/Abilities**: - Strong negotiation & problem-solving skills - Attention to detail - Organized Self-starter - Intermediate computer skills - Strong decision-making skills - Excellent communication skills - You think "outside the box" and can decipher credit bureau reports. - Excellent customer service and phone etiquette - Credit knowledge is an asset - 1-3 years of Skip trace experience. - 3-5 years of Collections experience is required - General understanding of PPSA, RSLA registrations - Experience with Consumer Proposals and Consumer Bankruptcies - Experience with asset repossessions and handling late-stage accounts - Diploma/Certificate in the related industry is an asset, but not required - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and are fluent in English and French (preferred) - Proficient in social media platform searches and open-source tools. - Tech-savvy and know your way through Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook - Strong development of personal contacts within the industry for trace and investigative assistance - Ability to collaborate with other teams and departments. **Job Types**: - Full-time, Permanent **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - Skip tracing/ Private Investigations (PI): 2-3 year (preferred) **Work Schedule**: - 8-hour shift - Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9-5 or 10-6 or 11-7 **Perks/Benefits**: - Company Benefits (Health and Dental) - 3 Weeks vacation (15 days) - RRSP Contributions/Company matching - Great location near major highways (QEW/427) - Positive Culture & amazing team - Occasional team lunches **Salary Expectations/Compensation** - $52,500 - $57,500 annually + up to 10% bonus **Availability**: - As soon as possible Pay: $52,500.00-$57,500.00 per year **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Work from home Schedule: - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - Skip Tracing : 2 years (preferred) - Collections : 3 years (preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Etobicoke, ON M9C 5L2
