What You'll Do
The Recovery Representative II provides recovery efforts on accounts through various collection efforts and remedies.
The Recovery Representative II is responsible to:
- Work with the supply chains such as bailiffs, auctions, tow companies and skip tracers related to the repossession, transport and liquidation of moveable assets
- Work and manage multiple client accounts at any given time
- Ability to perform complex or critical tasks independently. Examples include requesting specialty searches for fraud files
- Interact with the clients and client customers to action and resolve client customer inquiries such as voluntarily surrendering units, redemptions and escalating any complaints to the Recovery Manager
- Participate in monthly client meetings by answering questions, providing performance statistics and discussing industry trends
- Manage file assignments to ensure that company obligations are met which will include working fraudulent and second assignment of skip files
- Review and authorize supplier costs / invoices such as storage, transportation, priority liens, bailiff fees etc. within their cost limits
- Support the corporate quality and continuous improvement process by having consistent general knowledge of the industry and staying up to date with the different laws pertaining to each province and making recommendations as needed
- Perform necessary tasks related to quality control parameters by ensuring all processes are followed
- Work second assignments for files previously closed and fraud files
- Other administrative duties, as required
Position Requirements:
- Post-secondary education related to field coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading comprehension and basic mathematical skills, written and oral communication, excellent telephone etiquette and ability to think quickly on your feet.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all provincial laws, legal terms, legal entities as it relates to the repossession and liquidation of moveable assets.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, computer use, continuous learning.
- Experience using Windows, General office equipment, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines
