It is the mission of Tungasuvvingat Inuit (TI) to broadly provide Inuit-specific programs that contribute to the health and wellbeing of Inuit and to encourage and support similar programs for Inuit across the country. TI has over 30 years of highly successful experience in crafting the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of effective, client-centered services. By incorporating the principles of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ), TI continues to deliver quality programs and services that directly benefit our growing urban Inuit population.
Working in collaboration with the respective Program Managers, the Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring the TI programs in the GTA region are implemented and managed according to the program standards and guidelines. They will work to facilitate the achievement of program deliverables, and to ensure that the regional office is a safe space for community members and their families. The Regional Manager will manage, support and work in collaboration with the TI headquarters staff in Ottawa and with all portfolios that work in the regional office with the understanding that there is the potential of growth or change at each site.
**Key responsibilities of the position include**:

- To provide direct support and oversight to Toronto TI staff to increase and maintain capacity and competence in service delivery, program administration and reporting, including:

- To assist in recruiting and supporting staff at each site in accordance with the policy and procedures of TI and in collaboration with Program Managers.
- To oversee all funding pertaining to the TO office and collaborate with Managers who are responsible for this funding partnership.
- Responsible for providing community member service advice, direction and supervision as required for TI programs.
- To complete programming reporting requirements and assist in the development of reporting templates in collaboration with Program Managers as applicable.
- Conduct site visits and supervision with offsite locations as necessary.
- Support and mentor TI staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Develop and prepare yearly proposals for ongoing continued funding of operations/ programs.
- Host regional operations planning meetings to manage the ongoing activities within the region.
- Contribute and develop the site, staff, and programs to ensure consistency across TI programs and services.
- Prepare and submit funding and operational reporting requirements.
- Expend, review, and analyze the regional operation’s budgets and financials based on objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor cash flows and projected expenses as related to projects.
- Contribute to TI’s Annual Report based on regional operations activities and developments.
- Develop and implement TI program initiatives that promote Inuit culture and traditions.
- Evaluate operational deliverables to ensure delivery is aligned with TI’s core values, vision, mission, and objectives.
- Support the implementation of TI initiatives with all programs across the province.
- Coordinate and manage the front-line training initiatives.
- Monitor employees for adherence to TI policies and procedures (supervision, probationary and performance reviews)
- Directly supervise and manage employees within the identified programs and branches as required.
- Work directly with TI Facility Management and Operations to ensure offices, (including home offices) are functionable and operate to meet the needs of the staff and community; this includes office set up and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure the Branch office is a safe space for Inuit, their families, and the community.
- Promote TI programs in a professional manner within the community.
- Adhere to professionalism in representing the organization and maintain good communications.
- Representation on local committees, boards, and in stakeholder meetings (i.e., Toronto City Council), as required for the enhancement and benefits of TI programs.
- Advocate for TI to acquire space (offices, meeting/ gathering space/ Inuit specific spaces) to run and offer TI programs locally.
- Network and promote TI and all TI related programs and build positive working relationships.
- Maintain good communications and professionalism while representing TI.
- Complete monthly reports and submit when required.
- Complete and support programing reporting by working in coordination with TI program managers and directors.
- Complete reporting requirements to funders as required.
- Attend management and TI program related meetings when required.
- Complete other related reporting or administrative duties as assigned.
