**What will you be doing**:
We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing and executing comprehensive, integrated B2B campaigns across digital platforms, memberships, tradeshows and conferences.
This role reports to the Marketing Manager including cross-functional collaborations and working closely with Sales and Marketing.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Implement and maintain lead nurturing tactics that deliver a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads.
- Oversee third-party platforms like LinkedIn, SAGE, PPAI, ASI and CommonSKU and more to identify lead generation strategies within
- Engage existing clients to create new opportunities and referrals
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in our key markets
- Execute lead generation initiatives including outreach campaigns, tradeshows, and conferences.
- Represent the company at trade shows exhibits and events.
- Meet and surpass quarterly new lead quotas
- Develop webforms/funnels strategy and nurture corresponding prospect journeys.
- Build healthy internal and external relationships with the intent of building lead generation program value.
- Stay up to date with new products and services
- Executing strategies for each of our key sales channels and drafting plans that transition the vision to execution.
- Salesforce activations, including list building and reporting.
- Work closely with both Sales and Marketing as new opportunities are established to ensure timely strategic execution of marketing efforts
- Build and execute on SEO Strategy
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications/Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
- Has work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Executive or similar role
- Track record of achieving quotas
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Experience with CRM management, Salesforce, Pardot, MailChimp promo platforms (like Commonsku, SAGE, PPAI, ASI)
- Proven lead generation success through effective use of core sales tools including Salesforce, Pardot, and Linkedin
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Seasoned project management skills; highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
- Tradeshow experience, including planning, execution, relationship building on event day(s), and setup.
- Self-starter. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Results-driven. Striving to make things happen in line with goals and priorities.
- Attention to detail. Achieving thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task, including proofreading.
- Always learning. Eager to learn and looking to evolve and progress in your role.
- A demonstrated passion for sustainability and social responsibility.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related fields, with proven success.
**Experience that may set you apart**:
- Experience working in B2B and/or SaaS organizations.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce, MailChimp
- Strong content (storytelling) writing and copywriting.
**Schedule**:
- 8 hours a day (Flex-time Policy - Flexible start and end time).
- Some travel required. (6-7 times per year)
