**Job Summary** As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting our customers by sourcing and negotiating transportation to ensure their products are delivered efficiently and on time. Working closely with shippers and manufacturers, you’ll help control freight costs, enhance communication, and oversee the entire delivery process. To achieve this, we partner with select carriers, keeping their trucks moving and our operations running smoothly. Our Logistics Coordinators take full ownership of each shipment, from start to finish. You’ll be the primary point of contact for customers, shippers, receivers, and drivers. Unlike other third-party logistics providers, we avoid siloing roles between "customer service" and "carrier procurement." Each team member has visibility into every aspect of the move and is empowered to make decisions without unnecessary layers of management approval. You’ll wear many hats throughout the day—negotiating freight rates, managing customer relationships, and ensuring shipments are completed on time and within budget. Your autonomy is key, but support and guidance from teammates are always available. The ability to make decisions and problem-solve is crucial in this dynamic role. **Skills & Experience** While experience in transportation, a post-secondary education in logistics, and strong negotiating skills are preferred, they are not required. We value self-starters who are eager to learn and succeed. **Responsibilities** - Oversee and coordinate logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. - Manage order fulfillment processes to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction. - Use inventory and maintenance systems (CMMS) to track shipments and monitor schedules. - Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to streamline operations. - Analyze logistics data to forecast trends, optimize routes, and enhance performance. - Implement materials management strategies to minimize waste and improve resource use. - Negotiate with suppliers and manage procurement contracts to ensure timely stock availability. - Work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to elevate service levels. **Experience** - Experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred. - Strong understanding of order fulfillment and warehouse distribution processes. - Excellent data analysis skills to interpret logistics metrics and drive decision-making. - Familiarity with materials management and sourcing techniques is a plus. - Experience with CMMS or similar inventory management systems is advantageous. - Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while handling multiple tasks. **Join Our Team** Pay: From $45,000.00 per year Additional pay: - Bonus pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - logistics: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-12-10 Expected start date: 2025-01-01
