The Human Resources Assistant works with the Director of Human Resources, department Managers, and employees to ensure that activities related to on-boarding, benefits, work-related injuries, non-work-related absences, scheduling preferences, and terminations are properly administered in a timely manner. The HR Coordinator ensures that employees are participating in the appropriate benefit plan and assists with reconciling the costs related to benefits, absences, and work-related injuries.

**PRINCIPLE DUTIES**
- Completes administrative duties for all new hire; on-boarding packages and terminations
- Coordinates and administers benefits for all employees
- Completes administration of short-term disability and WorkSafeBC claims.
- Tracks all personal days, sick, vacation and leave request forms for hourly and salaried ambassadors
- Gathers all scheduling preferences and produces Seniority List every tri-mester.
- Assists Director of Human Resources with updating content for hotel-wide communications
- Order and track Human Resources Office supplies and forms
- Performs other duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- Previous HR Assistant, HR Coordinator or HR Administrator experience (at least 1 year)
- A minimum of year experience administrative experience

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable of benefits and WCB
- Interpersonal skills
- Well organized
- Detail-oriented

- Team player
