Live Work Learn Play Inc. (LWLP) is seeking a full-time Development Manager to join our dynamic team, with the ability to be based in either Toronto or Montreal. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead and shape transformative development and redevelopment projects from conception to completion, and to learn, grow and contribute to a range of large-scale mixed-use projects and places across our portfolio.

**Some of your qualifications and skills**:

- A post-secondary degree in real estate, business, finance, urban planning/architecture, or related fields
- 3-5 years of comparable experience in real estate development, business, planning, research and/or consulting
- An understanding of the development process, including development approvals, is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, collaborative team member
- Strong organizational skills and effective multi-tasker
- Highly industrious and apt to take initiative without being micromanaged
- Strong and professional report writing skills, business writing and adept at professional written communication
- Effective communication skills and a confident public speaker
- Thrive in a highly demanding, dynamic, fast-paced professional culture
- Experience in development, master planning, or financial modelling an asset
- Native or professional fluency in English; other languages an asset
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator) and related programs are considered an asset
- At ease with change and uncertainty, and excited by consistent challenge

**Some of your duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Leading and supporting various aspects of LWLP’s large-scale development projects
- Client & stakeholder management, as well as managing project team members and resources, both internal and external to LWLP
- Managing critical paths and project deliverables
- Managing ongoing project planning, design and development processes
- Conducting demographic, real estate market, and site analyses
- Performing a range of targeted market research, including “on-the-ground” field work
- Facilitating meetings, work sessions, public consultations and workshops, and leading consultation and outreach with public and private sector groups as needed
- Facilitating project envisioning, positioning, and programming
- Preparing and delivering presentations for various project stakeholders
- Drafting development strategy and research reports and analyses, and otherwise communicating LWLP’s strategic direction on projects
- Graphic layout and design of reports and marketing materials
- Contributing to business development and other corporate growth and intelligence initiatives
- Learning about, analyzing, and understanding new markets, cultures and places
