Family Owned Printing Manufacturing is in need of Bindery Operators in the Scarborough Area

Bindery Operator: This is an entry-level position in the Bindery department, responsible for assisting and working in Bindery.

Bindery Operator Functions:

- Reports to appropriate machine scheduled
- Assures all sections and inserts required for job are being loaded correctly.
- Communicate with operator during the running of the job
- Follows supervisors/operator’s instructions to assure quality and proper completion of all tasks assigned.
- Perform other tasks requested or required
- Operate and maintain high speed Bindery and Finishing equipment including Paladin Die cutter and other equipment including UV Flatbed, Saddle stitchers, cutters, laminators, etc
- Strap and wrap skids for shipping.
- Recieve and load shipments.

Requirement for the Bindery Operator:

- Must be comfortable working in a loud environment.
- Must be able to work 5 days 8 hour shifts
- Basic math skills
- Must be okay lifting 30-45 pounds
- Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail required
- Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operator or related field required

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in direct mail bindery production preferred
- Ability to set-up, operate, and adjust bindery equipment for simple jobs
- Ability to read and understand job tickets, rosters and tray tag information
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow oral/written instructions
- Ability to train and direct the work of others
- Experience with shipping and receiving
- Ability and attitude to learn new things

**Salary**: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
