Café Manager
**Type of Service**: Weekday/Weekend Brunch
**Overview of Responsibilities**
- Lead a small team ensuring staff is supported while monitoring drink and food times and quality
- Ensure staff completes cleaning duties while also maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant
- Open and/or close the restaurant for service as required, performing opening and closing duties
- Resolve guest issues and always look for ways to provide above and beyond customer service for all guests
- Familiar with POS back-end to resolve issues and make changes as needed
- Prepare café beverages, alcoholic beverages, and serve tables with attention to detail
- Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Greet and attend to customers upon entrance
- Present and explain menus and guide guests through food/beverage selection
- Take guests’ orders and answer questions or make recommendations for other products
- Serving orders according to the steps of service and describing each of Kiin’s complex dish in detail
- Reset tables in between dishes and seatings
- Efficiently communicate all allergies, dietary restrictions, celebrations, and notes to all staff
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff and follow established policies and system standards
- Address all complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Contribute to the cleanliness and operation of the restaurant by performing opening/closing/cleaning duties
**Skills Required**:
- Previous barista experience is required, preferably in a leadership position
- Previous bartending and serving experience are an asset (nice to have)
- Attentive and can anticipate customers’ needs
- Can communicate clearly in a professional manner while displaying strong customer service skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and engaging with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent hospitality, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrates a customer-oriented approach and patience
- Has a talent for communicating with people and anticipating their needs
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- High school diploma and food safety training is an asset
- Smart Serve certificate required
**Pay**:Will vary depending on experience and can increase based on performance/skill level **Schedule**:Full-time. Must have daytime availability.
**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour
