**The Team**: The Specialist Special Accounts report directly to the Team Manager Special Accounts.
**A typical day would involve**:
- Assess current financial situation of members in order to provide sound advice and support while maintaining member files according to established guidelines.
- Reviewing member profiles and recommend optimal recovery solutions which include negotiation of payment arrangements, restructure, litigation, and write-offs to achieve maximum member benefit while mitigating risk and minimizing loss to Vancity.
- Partnering with related internal/external stakeholders (e.g. Visa, lawyers, realtors, appraisers) in order to resolve the debt and meet business objectives
**You are**:
- **Resourceful -** You understand and utilize the network of resources available to you and can independently formulate appropriate solutions for your members
- **Tech-savvy -** People often say you're a quick learner and great with technology & systems
- **A strong relationship builder -** You find it easy to get to know others and build trust
- **Ready for a challenge -** You have a positive attitude and are able to work in a fast-paced changing environment
- **Analytical -** You can review information, detect anomalies, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
**You have**:
- **A High School diploma -** At a minimum, yo have graduated from high school and/or equivalent
- **Completion of Financial Planning Coursework -** You have taken Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning or Financial Planning 1 and the CUIC 210
- **Lending Experience -** One year of lending experience in the financial industry
**Bonus Points**:
- Completed trusted advisor or trusted enabler training
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders from different levels and areas of the organization
**Pay Band**: 5
