**The role: Specialist I, Special Accounts**

As a Specialist I, Special Accounts, you will mitigate risk to Vancity by minimizing potential loss and maximizing recoveries to the organization with respect to Delinquency, Third Party Demands, Write-offs, and Insolvency (members filing for Bankruptcy/Consumer Proposals).

**A typical day would involve**:

- Administer tasks related to all incoming communication and correspondence received by Special Accounts, Third Party Demands and Write-offs
- Provide advice and support to retail members and to internal/external stakeholders
- Complete Third Party Demands and Write-offs of both retail and business loans and maintain a database of written off loans for reporting requirements.
- Support Small Balance Collections of Lines of Credit, Personal Loans, Chargebacks and Overdrafts, and restructuring of Small Balance loans.

**You are**:

- **Analytical** - You can review information, detect anomalies, investigate and resolve discrepancies; you also know when to escalate unresolved issues to senior staff.
- **Good communicator** - You can act as a resource for the specialized area, providing specialized advice, guidance, explanations, and related support; and also to contribute to the development of program content.

**You have**:

- Post Secondary Education/Diploma in Business Administration and/or equivalent combination of education & relevant work experience.

**The team**:In this role, you will report into the Team Manager, Special Accounts.

**Please note this a fully onsite role.**
