The incumbent will support the upskilling and reskilling of our teams, growing the organizational learning bench strength and fostering Bird’s culture. This position is based out of the Edmonton, Calgary, or our Mississauga office location.

What You Will Be Working On- Collaborate and partner on projects and initiatives including documentation and reporting of the instructional design and course delivery process including learner and facilitator manuals, delivery supports, and administrative reporting assets.-
- Conduct learning needs analysis and propose relevant and innovative learning solutions.- Bring expertise to the design, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of learning activities.- Design a range of learning solutions to support the uptake of required knowledge, skills, and/or processes for a range of delivery methods including instructor led classroom and virtual, and eLearning solutions (e.g., eLearning, instructor led learning, microlearning including videos, job aids, performance supports, pod casts etc.).- Deliver program content either directly, indirectly through our internal network or through vendors.- Create communication and marketing materials to promote the uptake of learning solutions across Bird’s business divisions.- Ensure that learning solutions and assets are relevant and effective in accordance with best practices and business standards, while exploring new methodologies and joint learning opportunities.- Analyze results and make recommendations to ensure the quality and relevance of learning initiatives, learning transfer, and maximum learning impact for the organization.- Continually monitor emerging trends and organizational needs to provide informed recommendations for innovation.

What We Are Looking For- Minimum three (3) years of experience with a focus on talent development- A team player who enjoys building collaborative partnerships to achieve results- Strong project management skills combined with the ability to design and deliver learning solutions- Excellent instructional design and development skills- Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset- Consulting, and coaching skills are an asset- Experience utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS) is an asset- Open to occasional travel to various locations across the country
