Position/Job Description:
Gardena Canada is looking for an Accounting Clerk to support the daily operations and assist in the month-end close process.

What You Need to Know:
- Review and analyze vendor invoices for potential errors and discrepancies. Ensure proper coding, documentation, approval process, and PO compliance- Review the weekly aging reports and ensure timely payments to vendors- Maintain communication with vendors regarding statements, invoices, and payments, and resolve account discrepancies- Support Accounts Receivable- Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations- Assist overall month-end process including journal entries- Support the accounting team with various ad-hoc reporting and other duties as required

What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
- 2+ years accounting experience- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.

Skills and Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
Required- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills- Excellent attention to detail- Strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed in completing tasks
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and changes, delays, or unexpected events- Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop high-quality working relationships both internally and externally-
- Strong written/verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate a message both professionally and concisely.- Ability to proactively and confidently identify problems and recommend solutions- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics will be an asset.
