In order to serve Air Canada’s super elite, high-profile customers travelling on Air Canada’s Signature Class on select international routes, Plaza Premium Lounge is seeking skilled professionals for both FOH & BOH from, fine-dining, high-end restaurant/hotel backgrounds.

**Overall responsibility**

Assist Sous Chef to maintain highest professional food quality and sanitation standards. Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keeps up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.

**Key Areas of Duties and Responsibility**
- Prepares, pre-cooks, cooks and presents menu items in a timely fashion; following standardized recipes and quality standards
- Address general questions from guest regarding menu items
- Ensures cleanliness and hygiene is maintained and that food products are rotated to ensure high standards of freshness.
- Ensures refrigerators and storage are organized and maintained and that all food products are correctly stored.
- Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintaining.
- Submits food product requirements, equipment maintenance or issues to the Sous Chef for purchasing
- Assists Commis and Demi Chefs with product receipts, breakdown, storage and rotation
- Cleans culinary equipment after use and/or removes soiled equipment to the dish pit
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
- Operate and maintain all department equipment and reporting of malfunctioning
- Perform all other duties as assigned

**Qualities & Requirements**
- Valid Food handler certification
- Valid First Aid certification will be an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of weight
- Strong leadership skills
- Substantial experiences in cooking
- Good communication skills, including verbal and writing skills
- Good organizational skills
- Positive attitude
- Initiative
- Self-motivated
- High sense of responsibility
- Ability to prioritize
- Problem solving ability
- High level of attention to detail
