**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced construction laborer to join our team. The worker will construct decks, fences, install windows, work on possible new builds and at minimum know how to read a tape. They must maintain high standards of quality and safety. This is a probationary position with the aim of moving to the position of team lead. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to motivate a team, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. The individual selected must be motivated to learn on the job and to study on their own time potentially also reaching the level of red-seal carpentry as the company grows

*Wage increases with experience in the company

**Duties**
- Work independently and with a team in construction
- Cooperate with customers on a daily basis
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of future team members to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Train future new employees on operational procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving productivity and quality.
- Provide feedback and performance evaluations for team members.
- Assist in resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise within the team.

**Requirements**:

- Basic knowledge of carpentry skills is an asset
- Ability to read a tape is a must
- Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Excellent communication skills(English is required or willingness to learn)
- Knowledge of safety practices in construction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in decision-making skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
- Must be able to get to and from our business on own
- transportation to and from work site is provided
